The Park Tool CC-3.2 Chain Wear Indicator is a useful tool that allows you to find out how worn your chain is before you need to change it. A worn chain not only shifts poorly and wears down sprockets at an accelerated rate, but it also causes damage to other components of the drive chain. To use the CC-3.2 Chain Wear Indicator, simply insert the tool into the top of the chain and read the measurement. If the chain reaches between 0.75% and 0.5% then the chain is worn or beginning to reach its end and needs to be replaced before other chain components are affected too. - R.K.

Key Features:

  • CC-3.2 Chain Wear Indicator by Park Tool.
  • Measures how worn the chain is before it needs to be replaced.
  • A worn chain shifts poorly and wears down sprockets at an accelerated rate
  • Accurately indicates when a chain reaches 0.75% and 0.5% wear - the point at which most chain manufacturers suggest replacement.
  • The chain should be replaced soon if the 0.75% side fits into the chain, before other drive train components also start to wear out fast.
  • If the 0.5% side fits into the chain, the chain is worn out and should be replaced immediately.
  • Made from precision, laser cut steel.
  • 10-speed compatible.

Please Note: Consider that if you replace a chain because of wear other vital drive-chain components may need to be renewed too.
