DuraSkin incorporates high-quality polyamide fabric in the casing, which protects from the worst of assaults and provides sidewall protection in the toughest conditions. Whether you’re exposing your tyres to challenging city conditions, bikepacking in extreme locations, or racing on the cobbles, DuraSkin is up to the task.

In addition to sidewall protection, the GP 4-Season includes a double Vectran Breaker belt under the tread. The Vectra layer increases the puncture and cut protection to an industry leading standard. Modelled on spiders’ web, the Vectran layer is a liquid-crystaline polymer which is spun from the melted polymer Vectra—hence the name. The Vectra is further processed into a multi-strand thread. The result is a compound that is tear resistant and low in weight. What more could you want?
