The Elite Direto-XR OTS smart turbo trainer performs incredibly well against others in its price category. Designed with a 5.1kg oversized freewheel and high-quality bearings, this turbo trainer offers an incredibly smooth, realistic ride feel. With the ability to simulate slopes up to 24% and supporting a maximum power output of 3600-watts, this turbo trainer simulates a real-world ride experience to perfection. Thanks to the OTS (Optical Torque Sensor) technology, the Elite Direto-XR OTS smart turbo trainer has been certified to have a class-leading 1.5% power accuracy for ultimate reliability during training.
As a Bluetooth and ANT+ capable device, it allows wireless connection to a smartphone, tablet and PC for a clean training set up. It even includes a free trial subscription to Zwift and Elite's My E-training app so that you can begin your training programme right away. Similarly, it comes fitted with an 11-speed Shimano cassette, so you can get rolling right out the box. Constructed with extra-wide adjustable feet, the Direto offers stability, even on unlevel floors, but despite this stability, it's still relatively lightweight and can be folded up relatively easily. It's compatible with 130mm and 135mm quick-release frames as well as 142x12mm thru-axle frames, so can be used by a wide variety of riders who ride multiple different bikes.
